While on maternity leave with my second daughter, I found myself itching to take on a new challenge. I attended the Southwark Community volunteering fair where I was lucky enough to meet Marine. Inspired by her story and the mission and values of The Neurodiversity Family Hub, I jumped at the chance to put my marketing skills to use and get involved in writing, planning and editing online content.
As a result of my work with TNFH to date, I have learnt so much about the joys and challenges of parenting neurodivergent children, and I firmly and passionately believe in the urgent need to shift the societal narrative of neurodiversity, celebrating differences and striving to close the employment gap.
My 'day job' is in pharmaceutical consulting, where I work with pharmaceutical and life sciences companies to support their market access and commercialisation strategies. My career has taken me around the world: I lived and worked in Singapore for two years and then moved to Manhattan in 2017 to establish a new office for my company before returning to London and starting a family.
Outside of work, I love to keep active. Both physically, through swimming, yoga, strength training, hiking or climbing, and mentally, by reading fiction and playing board games whenever I get the chance (which is not as often as I'd like these days, with my two daughters keeping me busy!).
