Young Leaders Shared Belonging:How Young Leaders Shape our Monday Night Club MTT

Every Monday evening something special happens at MTT- through a lively mix of games, conversations, creative play young people feel safe, valued and able to be themselves. This does not happen just by chance it is the result of a carefully held space which at the heart of it are our volunteers and in particular our Young Leaders.

Since September, we have been piloting a Young Leadership Programme that brings together young volunteers aged 18 to 25.What makes this programme particularly meaningful is that all three of our current young leaders are themselves autistic. They are not “helpers” in a traditional sense; they are peers, role models, and active participants in a shared community.
