Tiny Tribe- Early Years support Volunteer

The role is part of our service in the Community. The role is linked to a playgroup called Tiny Tribe which runs on a Wednesday Morning from Mint Street Adventure Playground (London -SE1 1QU).

You will, as a Tiny Tribe Support volunteer, play a vital role in facilitating a caring community for all parents and carers with children under the age of 5 years old. The NDFH Tiny Tribe consists of offering a safe space for parents and carers with children 0-5 years old. Children can enjoy free play, a few structured activities such as art & craft, reading and singing time. Parents and carers are invited to meet with their community around a cup of hot beverage. Your role will also consist of welcoming specialist professionals for parents’ talk. You will be asked to monitor any request for help from parents for referral and early interventions. Tiny Tribe is also a tool to educate the community on Neurodiversity.

Our ultimate aim is to be known in the area as a provider of services for Neurodiverse families and be able to help as early as possible any family in need. 

In this position, you will actively engage with the parents, carers and children. Your responsibilities extend to ensuring the physical, social, and emotional welfare of each child, and fostering children’s growth, self-esteem, and independence at age appropriate.

Your role contributes significantly to the overall success of our play-group, making a positive impact on the lives of the children and their parents with diverse needs
